The NATS CONFERENCE is going well- I page turned for the 5.5 hour NATSAA semi-finals and also for the finals, which was exciting! I had two friends-Laura Choi Stuart and Laura Strickling-from Songfest in the finals and they got second and third. My dear friend Tanya Kruse Ruck got here on Thursday and is my roommate. Diane Thueson Reich, who was my close friend at IU is here and we are catching up for the first time in ten years. I've met friends from Luther, IU, Songfest, NATS Intern program, WI, and the national board and it has also been a delight to meet lots of new people. My student Jordyn got here tonight in time for the musical theatre competition finals which had done good singers in it. I've been to sessions on Lee Hoiby, new performance medecine technology, and musical theatre and choral singing. I went to a leadership luncheon, the president's reception, and a session of new music from Hal Leonard. Tomorrow some voice science, copyright, NATS intern reunion, and a recital by baritone Nathan Gunn!!!! I have specifically asked if he'll be taking his shirt off, but no response yet! More tomorrow. I'm doing fine- just getting tired and starting to worry about preparation for Spain and Portugal. I'm leaving on Thursday!!!!
